City Palace
One of the architectural wonders of Rajasthan, City Palace stands magnificently on the banks of Lake Pichola. The intricate architecture of the regal palace is a subtle mix of medieval, European as well as Chinese influences and is embellished with numerous domes, arches, and towers.
Badi lake
Situated a little on the outskirts of the city, Badi Lake is an artificial freshwater lake situated in Udaipur. Built by Maharaja Raj Singh between 1652 and 1680, Badi Lake sprawls over a humongous area of 155 sq. km. and is an ideal picnic spot.
Sajjangarh Palace
Perched atop a hill, Sajjangarh Palace (known as the Monsoon Palace) is a former royal residence belonging to the Mewar dynasty. It was originally built as a getaway during the monsoon season and as an astrological center, but the latter project was never finished. The palace is built with white marble and offers spectacular views of Udaipur city and its stunning lakes, mountains, and palaces.
Saheliyon ki Bari
Located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, this beautiful garden was constructed by Maharana Sangram Singh II during the 18th century for the royal ladies. The garden offers mesmerizing views of handsomely carved marble pavilions, kiosks in the pool, a lotus pond, and rain fountains.
Fateh Sagar Lake
Named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar, this beautiful man-made lake with its striking blue-hued waters against the backdrop of green hills is a great place to visit in Udaipur mainly for its 4 islands that are attractions in themselves. Accessible only by boat, the islands play host to public parks and a solar observatory that is worth a see.
